A rose-lined path leads down from the conservatory to the historical sunken garden which has a double stone staircase, water fountain and Victorian grottos. The beautiful oak panelling and open fires lend Moor Hall a real country house atmosphere. It was once owned by Bishop Vesey who entertained Henry VIII at the property. The current building was built in the 1900s by Colonel Ansell for his private residence and the wood carvings, stonework and stained-glass windows can be seen today. Ceremonies are hosted in the Charter Suite, Bracebridge Suite or outside al fresco in the Sunken Garden. The Charter Suite is an elegant and spacious ground-floor room with its own entrance, separate bar and surrounding conservatory overlooking the gardens. It can cater for up to 180 guests. It was recently renovated in early 2018 and its neutral gold, cream and grey palette and stylish bar, luxurious contemporary lighting and furnishings make a fabulous setting. The Bracebridge Room is upon the first floor and caters for up to 60. It overlooks the stunning surrounding parkland. While the Sunken Garden is a woodland, fairytale setting; there are stone grottos, a water fountain, double stone staircase and it’s surrounded by natural woodlands. It can cater for up to 180 guests. Post-vows, receptions take place in The Charter Suite for up to 180 guests in the day and up to 250 in the evening, The Oak Room for weddings receptions of 30 to 60 guests; and, smaller celebrations can be catered for in style in either the Bracebridge or Longmoor rooms. Both rooms are on the first floor and offer stunning views of the surrounding parkland. The bedrooms comprise a number of feature rooms including four- poster suites, and bedrooms with a jacuzzi bath in the room. The Spa is the perfect place to unwind before or after the big day and the hotel also offer hen party packages.
