54 BLOOMING elegance Coffee, blush and burgundy hues took centre stage in this striking Birmingham-based shoot Images courtesy of Timothy James Photography T he idea of the shoot started when florist Judith McCormack of Pollen Floral Joy decided to add a ceremony arch to her portfolio but wanted to find the perfect setting. “The Market Hall at The Custard Factory in Birmingham was ideal,” shares Judith. “It’s a huge white industrial space with lots of natural light. The rest of the inspiration for the shoot easily followed these elements.” Judith, along with photographer Tim of Timothy James Photography, discussed the style they wanted to create. The floral arch created the main backdrop for the day with additional decorative items such as a cake and photo frames. “We chose two gowns in contrasting styles, one was romantic with a tulle skirt and the other was an elegant satin halterneck,” says Judith. “For the flowers I opted for a subtle palette of coffee, nude, and blush tones with some dark accents. These were reflected in the beautiful hues used by make-up artist Helena for the bride’s look.”
