Your West Midlands Wedding - Feb/Mar 2019 (Issue 60)

We were living in France during the wedding planning process and I’d had no luck finding my dream dress there, so I decided to spend a week in the UK looking for the one . I found a strapless gown in The Bridal Boutique of Worcester, which was originally a style I wanted to avoid, but it turned out it was the most flattering. The top half was fitted and full of diamanté detailing, which flared into a princess skirt. I accessorised with a tiara, slim choker, and a Swarovski bracelet that JB brought me as a wedding gift. JB went with a black suit and shirt with a champagne-gold tie and pocket square, his groomsmen wore the same attire but with white shirts. I knew the venue was perfect for us. I loved how quirky it was, which fulfilled my need for something out of the ordinary, while JB’s hopes for a traditional big day were also met. It was very difficult choosing bridesmaids’ gowns as my maids are all different body shapes. I opted for the same dress in two different lengths. Coopcake Designs made our three- tier masterpiece, which had white top and bottom layers with a champagne- gold tier in between. I also ordered a princess castle topper from eBay as a finishing touch. 48
