Your London Wedding - January/February 2025 (Issue 99)

VITTORIA WHARF STUDIO 07464 412 214 | www.vittoriawharfstudio.com Nestled in the heart of Hackney Wick’s Fish Island, just a short walk from the Hackney Wick Overground Station, Vittoria Wharf Studio offers the perfect wedding setting. The venue is among the last remaining original warehouse spaces in the Fish Island district of Hackney Wick. Blending old and new, the team aim to help couples bring visions to life in this unique setting. During the lead-up to the 2012 London Olympics, it was thought the whole warehouse would be torn down to make way for a pedestrian bridge leading to the Olympic Park. Through a combination of the team’s lobbying and just pure luck, they managed to save the building from demolition and instead, a huge saw was used to cut the building in half to make space for the bridge. SHOREDITCH STUDIOS 02070 339 006 | https://shoreditch.com Shoreditch Studios, situated in the vibrant heart of Shoreditch and tucked beneath charming Victorian railway arches, stands out as one of East London’s favourite wedding venues. This beautifully transformed historic space perfectly blends traditional charm with contemporary needs, making it an ideal choice for modern weddings. The unique warehouse-style wedding venue consists of two interlinked studio spaces featuring exposed brickwork and a mezzanine lounge overlooking the main space as well as a spacious outdoor courtyard area. As one of London’s leading photographic studios for fashion shoots, it benefits from two crisp white infinity coves which provide a stunning and picture-perfect backdrop. The interconnected studios offer seamless changeovers throughout weddings! Studio One features beautiful, exposed brickwork walls and a lounge mezzanine area with natural light, perfect for speeches or walking down the aisle to a string quartet; it also benefits from its own private dressing room. The team suggests ceremonies and wedding breakfasts in Studio One. Studio Two is perfectly designed for drinks receptions. Lower guest numbers also allow for a ceremony and meal in reverse. This neutral space transforms when parties begin thanks to the mirrorball and dancefloor. There’s ample space here for a band and DJ, plus a bar, so guests don’t have to stray too far. The large south-facing courtyard is the main entrance, open until 8 pm. As with the venue, pairs can decorate the courtyard as they’d like. Bunting, a pop-up bar, a food truck for snacks or outdoor furniture can all be brought in to dress the space. There’s also festoon lighting along the brickwork for the autumn/winter months. Post-ceremony canapés and reception drinks are perfect in the courtyard with city views. This is a great space to have some confetti moments and enjoy a drinks reception, and it is brilliant for outdoor photos. https://beatriciphotography.co.uk https://beatriciphotography.co.uk ©Dylan Aiello ©Dylan Aiello 25 LOCAL VENUES
