Alternatively, The Library offers a unique and sophisticated setting to combine ceremonies and receptions in one special location. It features a striking high-domed ceiling, fine architectural detail and walls lined with Sir Winston Churchill’s photographs that reflect his love of travel and adventure. The space accommodates up to 40 guests and combined with the Chartwell Ballroom, couples can tie the knot and hold their celebrations in the same convenient venue. Lastly, The Gallery is an exquisite and sophisticated venue with elegance and charm. With its classic design and tasteful décor, the location offers a timeless ambience that blends modern luxury with a touch of traditional British elegance. It features high ceilings, large windows and beautiful chandeliers to create a bright, grand and intimate atmosphere. The Roost is a former Victorian Pub built in 1863, offering many beautiful original features. The setting is decorated with an eclectic mix of wall finishes and statement wallpapers and is filled with vintage furniture, eccentric props and bold artwork. The venue has a cosy, homely feel, with big fireplaces on the ground floor and large French doors opening onto an attractive planted garden. Large windows provide good natural light throughout. The Roost has a commercial kitchen which can be used for event catering. It also has a wedding license for civil ceremonies. It can host 100 people in a theatre layout, 100 seated for wedding breakfasts and 150 standing. The Friendly Place is a beautiful 7500 sq ft venue that was built in the 1930s as a spice warehouse. It’s set on its own private road and spread over four floors, including a 1500 sq ft rooftop terrace. The setting features a wealth of industrial chic backdrops and includes a large kitchen area, a charmingly decaying conservatory, several huge studio spaces and a rock stars pad and boudoir. The building also boasts fullheight roller shutter access, additional kitchenettes on each floor, ample parking and cosy mature garden spaces. Friendly Place is not yet licensed for ceremonies, but there’s plenty of space for a humanist or similar kind of ceremonies that can be just as unique and meaningful.
