Your London Wedding - September/October 2024 (Issue 97)

truly embraced her inner Carrie Bradshaw! The jewellery she wore was a personal assortment of rings she had gathered over the years, along with a pair of earrings she purchased just the day before with the mother-of-the-bride from a charming pop-up jewellery stall in Coal Drops Yard. Becky comments, “I felt proud that all the pieces had come together to create a unique outfit that felt very me. It felt right, and I was so excited to get married.” Chris looked dapper in a lovely spring linen suit from Hugo Boss featuring a soft greenish-grey hue. The theme chosen for the guests was ‘Springtime Smart,’ featuring an abundance of lively floral patterns, refreshing mint greens, and rich pink tones. MEMORABLE MOMENTS The couple was filled with pride about their partnership and the journey they had taken together. Their decision to get married held significant meaning for both of them, as it felt like a way to solidify their future together. The bride comments, “We happen to both have incredibly demanding jobs, Chris as a Contracts Manager and myself as a Design Director in our respective companies; we also undertaking a major house renovation, so the wedding prep was hectic on top of all these things. The day was a moment of happiness and pause for us both to stand back and simply enjoy celebrating us! “All our family and friends together in one place for us was so special. We had friends fly from San Francisco, New York and Switzerland to be there. Chris and I also did a speech each. I made the welcome speech, thanking friends and family individually for coming. Then Chris made a speech after dinner, which was very sweet and meant a lot. My brother Sam did a reading by Bob Marley titled Love during the ceremony. It meant a lot to me as my mum and brother were my only family there on the day. My dad passed away several years back, so he could not walk me down the aisle, and having Sam there made me reflect on him. Chris and I walked down the aisle together instead.” HONEYMOON The couple jetted off to their favourite place to go – Mallorca. They had a short five-day mini-moon due to having to be back in London for house renovations! The newlyweds stayed at their usual spot, Son Bernadinet near Campos, a gorgeously converted rural finca where you can be at one with nature and great wine! Becky says, “It was lovely being together to reflect on an incredibly hectic time in which we managed to pull off our perfect wedding. It was so special to call each other hubby and wifey!” REAL WEDDINGS 33
