A piece of modern architecture and a unique wedding venue it boasts a restaurant, bar and five private dining rooms at the top levels 38, 39 and 40 ‒ a slice of luxury away from the bustling streets below. Say ‘I do’ in the expansive Helix restaurant, with a capacity of 140 guests the restaurant can be adapted transforming into an aisle before you head up to the bar for reception drinks. For receptions, couples have the choice of five private dining rooms or exclusive hire of the restaurant and bar. Comprising Cirrus, Nimbus, Cumulus, Stratus and Alto, these rooms can be hired singularly or combined as double rooms for up to 50 seated or 60 standing guests. Helix and Iris, on the top floors of the Gherkin with a domed roof, are sure to impress. They can be hired together or separately and can be easily adapted for a cocktail reception, dinner and evening do (with dancefloor) for up to 140 seated or 260 standing loved ones. Caterers Searcys are on hand with a variety of packages and are proud to also follow sustainability pledges, ensuring all produce is fairly sourced from British suppliers. The Gherkin is licensed until 3am, and to make weddings extra special, Searcys has partnered with artisan baker Lily Vanilli to offer a complimentary handcrafted wedding cake; couples can choose one of Lily’s showstopping signature cakes Gold Splatter, Showstopper or Chocolate, or create their own design for the special day. For those who’d rather say it with bubbles, couples can opt for a complimentary case of Searcys Cuvée Brut Champagne or Rosé (T&Cs apply), to start the celebrations with some sparkle! HONOURABLE ARTILLERY COMPANY (HAC) 020 7382 1533 | www.hac.org.uk Set in the heart of the City, the Grade II-listed The HAC is one of London’s hidden treasures. Offering an exquisite country house, set in five acres of picturesque gardens, the stunning Artillery Garden provides the ideal setting for a champagne and canapés reception, with options for outdoor marquees and catering. Steeped in history, its array of rooms boast grand interiors, ornate high ceilings and sweeping staircases. Couples have the choice of three rooms for ceremonies: The Prince Consort Rooms, the largest space hosting up to 400, were once the Regiments Drill Hall and has since been converted into a contemporary room which can be adapted to any need and décor. The space comes with its own courtyard entrance, linked reception area and adjoining terrace for drinks. Queen’s and Ante Rooms, set on the ground floor of the 18 th -century Armoury House, can be hired individually or as a pair, lending themselves perfectly for smaller gatherings. With plenty of natural light and views out onto the gardens, the rooms can host up to 45 for a ceremony and 40 for dinner. The Long Room is instantly recognisable by its vibrant red walls, ornate ceilings and historical portraits across the walls. Up the steeping staircase, the room looks out onto the expansive gardens, and can host up to 150 guests for ceremonies. The HAC has a range of options for receptions. The licensed rooms can be transformed into dining and disco settings, with bespoke menus of seasonal dishes created by British caterer Searcys. Couples can host their wedding in one room for the whole day, or book multiple spaces for celebrations, including the Artillery Garden for reception drinks and outdoor catering bringing a total venue capacity of 690 loved ones.
