Two gorgeous Marylebone settings played host to Jonathan and Monique’s intimate wedding Images courtesy of Terry Li Photography Perfectly PERSONAL A s soon as Monique and Jonathan met there was an attraction; their personalities complemented each other brilliantly. Monique tells us, “I loved how fun-loving and adventurous he was. He had lived in ten different countries in ten years and spoke four languages!” Jonathan says it was Monique’s boundless curiosity and gentle soul that made her his perfect match. When it came to popping the question, Jonathan managed to keep it a total surprise. “Jon proposed on 30 th December, 2019, in Florence,” Monique says. “He used to live there, and we had gone for New Year’s Eve. Doing it the day before meant I didn’t expect a thing!” After having to postpone once, the pair set the date for 12 th September, 2020. Although the pandemic meant that their day wasn’t exactly how they envisioned, they were still able to have an intimate city wedding, with a ceremony at the Old Marylebone Town Hall, followed by a celebration at The Orrery.
