THE NED 020 3828 2000 | www.thened.com WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT? Sitting in the heart of the City, surrounded by 17 th -century spires and modern glass towers, this Grade I listed hotel has nine restaurants, 250 bedrooms, a range of grooming services and a member’s club. Set in the former Midland Bank building, The Ned was designed by Sir Edwin ‘Ned’ Lutyens in 1924, whose style blended classical and modern elements. The faded glamour of a 1930s transatlantic ocean liner was the starting point for the interiors, with designers also trawling through the bank’s archives to find out what the building looked like in its heyday. LET’S CELEBRATE! Weddings at The Ned take place on the historic sixth floor. Its six rooms and two outdoor terraces with incredible city vistas can host parties of up to 200 people. Couples can hire the whole floor exclusively for groups of 80 guests and more. Most ceremonies take place in The Saloon, which is dominated by an 18 th -century chandelier, an ornate chalk frieze and a restored parquet floor. Receptions are often held in The Tapestry Room for large parties of up to 140 loved ones, while more intimate celebrations are suited to the RWB Room. WE LOVE… For weddings upwards of 50 guests, the venue offers free menu tastings and an overnight stay for the newlyweds. Some packages include free use of the Princes Dome on the roof for a delicious breakfast with guests the next day. https://catherinemead.com THEMED VENUES 29
