Your London Wedding - September/October 2020 (Issue 73)

We wanted to have a fusion menu to reflect our Chinese and Gibraltarian backgrounds. Our caterers designed a bespoke menu of canapés, a three-course meal and mocktail for us, which incorporated elements of both cuisines. I channelled my inner graphic designer and made all the stationery myself, from the table plan and place settings to the programmes and invitations! Our venue was close to us and we used local suppliers wherever possible too. We met our lovely photographers, Jeff Oliver Photography, at the National Wedding Show and it turned out they live just a short walk from us!  I wore Elora by Rebecca Ingram in ivory over light gold, which I found at a trunk show at a local boutique. I’m petite, so I didn’t want a big dress, instead opting for a fit-and-flare style. I loved the colour of the gown and it suited my skin tone. I kept accessories to a minimum with just a few sprigs of gypsophila in my hair from our florist. REAL WEDDINGS 45
