Your London Wedding - July/August 2020 (Issue 72)

I was incredibly nervous and excited on the day. We had put so much effort into making it special and I was just desperate for everyone to enjoy themselves. Chas was mainly nervous for his speech! The Retrobates played during our drinks reception, with vintage classics from Elvis to The Smiths. We also booked Spot On George, a caricaturist who made everyone laugh. My family surprised us during the meal by hiring the West End Singing Waiters – what a moment! They performed all our favourite musical numbers. Our band The Chartz kept everyone on the dancefloor all night; they were one of the first things we booked. After looking in high-end shops and exploring bespoke options, we stumbled across the perfect style in Matalan! They looked handsome alongside my beautiful bridesmaids in their maroon Grecian- style gowns. Being handy on a sewing machine, I altered the whole party’s outfits to fit perfectly. Our photographer, Emma, did an incredible job at making two very anxious people feel at ease. We knew exactly what we wanted from our photography and Emma truly delivered, with moody lighting, fashion styling and documentary- style shots. Our final pictures are incredible, we couldn’t have asked for more. 48
