Your London Wedding - July/August 2020 (Issue 72)
We used Gatherers for our catering – they made everything run smoothly and we can’t thank them enough. There were gorgeous canapés of English classics before a crispy duck salad starter followed by a fillet of beef and finished off with a flourless chocolate cake. The vegetarian and vegan options were amazing too. In the evening, we dined on Gatherers’ famous pizzas. We created a dark and moody atmosphere, and our florals tied into this. There were trailing arrangements in maroons and blush pinks with green foliage. We used our centrepieces on the stage during our ceremony, including more than 60 brass candlesticks. We then moved these to the tables for a romantic feel. I made the signage and place settings using Perspex and gold leaf. We loved how intimate Wilton’s Music Hall was. I work in theatre, so it felt very natural to get married on stage in the East End. We adored the exposed plasterwork, the beautiful colours of the old bricks and the rich theatre drapes. 46
