Your London Wedding - May/June 2020 (Issue 71)
REAL WEDDINGS 41 Matt, meanwhile, opted for tweed, teaming his green colourway with a bow tie while his groomsmen wore brown paired with regular ties in purple linen. THE ENTERTAINER It will come as no surprise that this outgoing couple maxed out on the entertainment side. From a live guitarist accompanying songs during the ceremony to a finale led by Box 9 Drumline, live piano at the reception and an evening band – not to mention glitter artists transforming guests’ faces – there was atmosphere aplenty. “My favourite part of the day was definitely the party when Groove On Up came on,” says Emma. “They absolutely tore the house down and held their own in a wedding filled with musicians. Great energy, great songs – we never wanted the night to end.” Other highlights for the pair include Matt’s best man’s speech, which was topped off with him singing a rendition of Side by Side , a family favourite. And for couples thinking of a similarly jam-packed schedule, Emma advises, “I thought I didn’t need a wedding planner but I’m so glad that we ended up getting one. As I’d already found most of the vendors, Krysta and her team provided a ‘stylist’ service and were instrumental on the day making sure everything was in the right place, the day was running to time and even dealt with the fallout of our collection van not turning up in the evening. This took all the stress away from our family and friends so they could just sit back and enjoy the day.”
