83 REGIONAL SHOOT Copper and blush tones are the perfect foil for the industrial feel of The Clockwork Building Images courtesy of Roshni Photography and Matt Grayson L ove the idea of a blank canvas venue but daunted by the task in hand? Well, read on for a masterclass in dressing a space sustainably. With its high, exposed concrete ceilings and white walls, Hammersmith & Fulham’s Clockwork Building has an industrial feel, softened by copper touches and floor-to- ceiling flowing textiles. Inspired by this palette, a crack team of local suppliers chose a colour scheme of greys, whites and blush pink with metallic accents and concrete details grounding the theme. A rich variety of textures helped provide contrast, with satin linens allowing the more rugged concrete place names to stand out on the table, for example, while the bespoke copper arch was decorated with soft-pink roses, green king proteas and grasses. Keen to keep the look sustainable, the team chose simple, unfussy pink crockery, teamed with copper cutlery and aged-gold glassware, dressed with personalised chocolate favours, which doubled as place names. “To keep costs down and to be more planet-friendly, look for functional décor items that can be used in your home after your wedding,” advises shoot coordinator, Layla Vaughan. Candle holders made from copper pipe echoed the ceremony décor, as did the soft-pink, watercolour buttercream cake with copper leaf detailing, dressed with fresh pink roses and eucalyptus. A bespoke newspaper that chimed with the colour palette served as both the order of service and menu – another eco-friendly touch, while the beautiful, hand-painted Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Rosé Champagne bottle with its copper detailing married all of the décor elements together, as well as providing inspiration for the centrepiece designs. The bridal look was simple yet elegant with a beaded, strapless bustier dress with sweetheart neckline and a soft flowing tulle skirt. The model’s hair was kept soft and flowing to mirror the flowing bottom half of the dress while her hairpiece was beaded to complement the bodice. Her bouquet mirrored the table arrangements.  Blushin bride
