Your London Wedding - Nov/Dec 2019 (Issue 68)

Our cake was incredible – four tiers draped with macarons and flowers to fit with our overarching navy, white and green colour scheme by Whisk & Drizzle. We named our tables after places we’ve travelled to together – our tableplan was a world map. I wanted to keep my look casual so I wore a waistcoat and tie with a white shirt – and rolled the sleeves up. Our son, Hugo, was dressed in a waistcoat and trousers to match the groomsmen, while Frida wore a blue and white dress accessorised with a traditional flower crown. Frida is Swedish and we married on Swedish midsummer so our favours were heart-shaped bottles of Swedish snaps and our centrepieces featured jars filled with flowers, plants and a Swedish midsummer maypole. The Chainstore has a converted warehouse vibe with a private terrace next to the River Thames. It was a great setting for photos and the drinks reception and the view over Canary Wharf and the O2 at night was amazing 50
