A midsummer ' s dream Jake and Frida wove Swedish tradition throughout their June big day Images courtesy of Courtney Dee H aving met at university, Frida and Jake first bonded over a shared love of classical music, travelling and popular sitcom Benidorm – solid grounds for a friendship, we’re sure you’ll agree. So it’s no wonder that their relationship blossomed into something more, culminating with Jake dropping to one knee on a mountaintop during a ski trip with friends in early 2017. The couple took a fairly relaxed approach to planning, allowing themselves a good two years to prepare for their nuptials, starting with the hunt for the perfect venue. “We wanted a venue that didn’t charge for corkage and had a late curfew. This significantly narrowed down our options but, when we went to see The Chainstore, we knew it was the right place straight away,” explains Jake.
