Your London Wedding - Nov/Dec 2019 (Issue 68)

STATIONERS’ HALL AND GARDEN Dating back to the 16 th century, history and tradition are at the heart of Stationers’ Hall. Located close to St. Paul’s Cathedral, this Grade I listed building is an imposing yet intimate venue. Inside, a series of grand interlinking rooms – with time-aged oak panelling and jewel-like stained glass windows, which make this a dazzling and romantic location at any time of year – provide flexibility to couples; your wedding can be as formal or informal as you like, the spaces configured to suit every moment from your much-anticipated arrival to mingling with guests, celebrating by candlelight and that tender first dance. Ceremonies can take place in the Court Room where there’s room for 120 loved ones or the Main Hall, where 200 guests can witness your vows. The same spaces are available for receptions, accommodating a maximum of 200 seated friends and family or 400 revellers for a less formal do. Outside, the Stationers’ Garden is a private and secluded haven, ideal for drinks receptions and those all-important wedding photos. This ever-changing garden hosts an abundance of seasonal plants and flowers, and can be decorated with fairylights and lanterns for added atmosphere come nightfall. Ceremony licence?
