71 LOCAL INSPIRATION W edding planner and stylist Davina Marques of DKM Events put together this shoot, together with her dream team of suppliers from the capital, as a showcase of her signature style. “I love to create city glamour, subtle luxury and a romantic vibe and that was exactly what I had in mind when creating this styled shoot – a luxury boutique hotel in Mayfair was the perfect start,” she explains. Davina chose an overarching colour palette of pink, gold and white, expressed in the table settings via white linen and a dusty pink runner to complement the venue’s golden walls and chairs. Each place was then dressed with light pink charger plates overlaid with a transparent plate to match the glassware. White napkins nestled in a gold-leaf ring and a sprig of rosemary completed the look. “I love the idea of the refreshing scent coming from the rosemary,” says Davina. Centrepieces were composed of mid-sized floral arrangements and dusty pink taper candles.
