Your London Wedding - Sep/Oct 2019 (Issue 67)

T his look is all about glamour, without going overboard on the make-up. Flawless skin was the goal, with a soft contour. To create this, after prepping the skin, I used Kevyn Aucoin The Etherealist Skin Illuminating Foundation with a MAC Mineralize powder, swept over the top to create definition and soft contour, and a highlighter to bring out the cheekbones – I love the NARS Orgasm range. Last, I spritzed on Urban Decay Quick Fix setting spray to deliver a soft sheen and finish the make-up.  For the eyes, I like to make them pop and this can be achieved easily, no matter what shape or colour they are. I always start with a base to ensure a nice clean canvas to work from. Here, I used Inglot Aquatastic Cream Eyeshadow with a subtle gold sheen on the lid. I then used the Anastasia Beverley Hills Sultry Eyeshadow Palette to create a soft-brown smoky eye and added some drama with lashes. I used TL16 by Tatti Lashes, which I love; they give subtle emphasis.  To finish off the look, I added Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips 2 in Dancefloor Princess on the lips, which is one of my favourite wedding colours. It’s a barely-there shade with just enough to define the lips and has a just- perceptible sheen.  For the hair, I wanted to keep it on trend, and the ‘non-styled, styled’ look is in at the moment. I prepped the hair by blow-drying it to create volume and bounce and then tonged in soft waves. This is one of my most requested styles for 2019. It’s effortless, romantic and looks great on all hair types. I use a light hairspray to seal the style without compromising on shine or bounce.
