Your London Wedding - May/Jun 2019 (Issue 65)

TIME FLIES WHEN YOU’RE HAVING FUN Natasha and Jack chose a navy, coral and gold colour scheme for their fun-filled big day Images courtesy of Sasha Weddings S ometimes a queue isn’t just a queue, as Natasha and Jack discovered one day while both waiting to be served at Camden’s Proud. “We struck up a conversation and went on our first date about a month after we met and everything just went from there,” explains Natasha. Some four years later, while on holiday in Vietnam, Jack asked Natasha to be his wife. “We were on a kayak trip in Ha Long Bay (which was the name of the top table at our wedding) and stopped at a beach. It wasn’t all smooth sailing though as the beach was really crowded. Jack finally found a secluded spot and as I was looking out at the view, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I was completely surprised and blown away,” Natasha remembers. Indeed, the couple hadn’t discussed getting married so, when it came to planning their wedding, they were starting from the very beginning. “We started talking about the style of day we wanted and, in particular, the location and luckily we both wanted to get married in London and specifically East London, if we could,” explains Natasha. “I really wanted a warehouse, dry hire venue so we could really make the day our own,” she adds. And make it their own they did – here, Natasha tells us more about their big day… Natasha, 31, married Jack, 29, at Trinity Buoy Wharf on 12 th August, 2018. REAL WEDDINGS 49 
