We’re planning to host our own barbecue with all the friends and family who should have been at the wedding once rules permit. We both felt nervous at the outset, but once the ceremony was over everything seemed perfect in our English garden setting. It was nice that all of our guests were able to stay over at Howfield too, so we were able to see them again for breakfast together the following morning. With other people giving their opinion on every aspect of the wedding planning it’s easy to get swept up in it all. Don’t forget why you’re really getting married – it’s just you and your partner, plan the day you want, not the one you think you should have. We used the money we saved on reducing the guest list to go on honeymoon to the Isle of Skye in Scotland. We spent four nights there and did a lot of hiking – the landscape was spectacular.
