Your Kent Wedding - Page number 44 - September/August 2021 (Issue 98)
If you’re going to have a big celebration, plan in advance. Don’t leave it all to the last minute. Try and tick things off one month at a time. We were served canapés after the ceremony along with cocktails and beer. Then, for the wedding breakfast we enjoyed a barbecue with tartlets for starter and lemon curd tart or sticky toffee pudding for dessert. I wore a crepe fit and flare dress with illusion lace sides by Justin Alexander. I travelled all over Kent with my mum searching for the one , and finally settled on this, the fuss-free white gown I was looking for with just a touch of lace. The groom and his groomsmen wore the same navy suits with white shirts and dark-blue check waistcoats. These really reflected David’s style. Our florist decorated the ceremony gazebo with garlands and olive trees. The bridesmaids wore mink maxi dresses, hand-embellished with pearls and diamantés around the neckline. Although our colour palette was pink and white, it was nice to incorporate other hues that complemented this main theme. 44
