53 LOCAL SHOOT T o lift the spirits during these troubled times, wedding planner Black Sheep Events got together with new Kent venue Sawkinge Barn to curate this wonderfully eclectic shoot. “We took over the barn and surrounding area and transformed it into a rustic-meets-boho wedding space,” says Charlotte Legge of Black Sheep Events. The palette was entirely governed by nature as the flowers Xyris Botanicals’ Laura grows are seasonal, so the gorgeous pinks and peaches that were available at the time formed the backdrop. “These colours showed off the best of the Kent countryside and had a romantic yet modern style, so they were extended to the cake, crockery and stationery,” Charlotte explains. The furniture and décor sat well within this charming venue, illustrating that the traditional rustic nature of the barn and a modern boho vibe blend seamlessly together for a totally on trend wedding style.
