So, when true love’s at stake, why let the grass grow? They moved in together the following year. “Rob planned his proposal perfectly, but I ruined it!” Mandy says. He’d booked a table at a restaurant in The Shard for her birthday and the idea was to pop the question over dessert. However, Mandy didn’t want any – “This was unusual for me, as I love dessert,” she tells us. So, plan B was put into action, patience paid off, and Rob finally managed to ask her when they got home that evening. The couple knew they’d found their perfect venue in Hadlow House. Mandy explains, “Our families live in opposite directions from us, so this was ideal as there’d be plenty of accommodation for them.
