Your Kent Wedding -November/December 2020 (Issue 93)

We wanted to reflect the nature of our venture in the styling, so chose to feature wheat in our table decorations, which we combined with lavender and arranged in glass bottles tied with ribbon. Daisy, was the ring bearer, and wore a red collar for the ceremony. She’d been freshly groomed a couple of days previously, so she was looking her big-day best. The best men wore their own suits, with accessories to complement ours. We both wore matching Ted Baker blue morning tail suits, which included a peacock-pattern lining. We accessorised with lilac handkerchiefs and cravats to match our theme. We decorated either side of the entrance with a bough of hops in homage to Wayne’s father, who met his mother while working at a hop farm, and who passed before we met. Seeing Wayne walk up the path to the windmill with Daisy, our cockerpoo, bearing the rings remains one of my fondest memories. 50
