At the time Alex lived in Kent and Wayne in Hampshire. The friends discovered they shared plenty of interests and just a few short months later found that they’d fallen in love. “We’ve been together ever since, this year will mark eight years together,” Alex tells us. Wayne proposed in 2018 with a personalised card, much to Alex’s surprise, and the couple started looking for venues to host the big day. “On our many travels to and from Ashford, where we were buying our home, we’d seen and admired the windmill. When we discovered that it was in fact a wedding venue, we wasted no time arranging a tour,” Alex explains. The location turned out to be perfect and the date was set for 19 th September, 2019.
