Your Kent Wedding - May/June 2020 (Issue 90)

I wore a full-length A-line wedding dress by Kenneth Winston. It was adorned with an Art Deco pattern in crystals and beads. My dress supplier came in the morning to help me into it so that it would look perfect. I accessorised with a two-tier veil and a side hair piece to complement my Hollywood waves. Rob was dressed in a navy Ted Baker suit, with dark brown brogues and navy bow tie. The groomsmen wore the same suits, paired with ties, allowing the groom to stand out. Our son, who gave me away, wore a navy shorts set with a bow tie and brown shoes to match his daddy. Our daughter, my flowergirl, wore a full-length light ivory dress with a sequin bolero attached. My bridesmaids wore sequinned dresses in taupe blush. Some of the girls chose long sleeves, others short. I had six bridesmaids, so it was nice to have a mix. One of Rob’s highlights was hearing my friend and professional singer, Alice Kattner, start to sing A Thousand Years , as that was the moment he knew he was about to see me in my dress. Standing under a shower of confetti in the sunshine was a moment we’ll both remember, as was the journey from church to The Barnyard in our wedding car. 56
