Your Kent Wedding - Jan/Feb 2020 (Issue 88)
It was a total surprise when Steve proposed! We were in Rome celebrating my 30 th birthday, when suddenly he was down on one knee. I thought he had cramp! We were instantly attracted to the location of Hayne House. It’s secluded, totally private and intimate. Everything we were looking for in our wedding venue. I wore a boho-style dress, Roxanne by Wendy Makin. I loved the look as it fitted in perfectly with our theme and venue. I accessorised with a beautiful fresh flower crown. Steve was dressed in a Ted Baker suit, paired with a floral tie and pocket watch. The groomsmen all wore complementing navy suits, while the bridesmaids looked gorgeous in blush pink with flowers in their hair. We both felt incredibly excited on the day. For me, without doubt, the standout moment was saying “I do” underneath the flower arch in the venue’s beautiful gardens. Each table was named after a retro sweet from the 80s, and had a bowl of the eponymous confectionary for guests to enjoy. The top table was Love Hearts. 44
