AROUND THE CHRISTMAS TREE Zoe and Michael injected a healthy dose of festive cheer into their big day on 21 st December, 2018 Images courtesy of Carla Guest Photography 59 M utual friends are to thank for Zoe and Michael’s first encounter, as it was at their party that the 15-year-old Zoe noticed the teenage Michael and his bleach blond spiky hair! “What was he thinking?” she wondered. Michael, on the other hand, was instantly attracted to Zoe’s Mediterranean look, and romance blossomed from there. Five years into their relationship, a trip to the Rockefeller Center’s Top of the Rock attraction in New York yielded a surprise for Zoe so huge that she almost fainted. Michael had his heart set on that particular day to propose but left it so late that it was only 30 minutes from the end of it before he managed to pop the question. Happily, Zoe accepted and the pair started to consider venues. The bride explains: “We knew from the start that we wanted to get married in a barn and that it should be somewhere everything would be taken care of for us. We lead very busy lives and find it hard to make decisions!” After a viewing at Winters Barns, they felt so comfortable with the staff that they knew it was the place for their big day.
