We ended up driving into a field with it later to get some fantastic couple shots. We used fairylights and outdoor festoon lighting to decorate the marquee. I also had a French dresser, which we painted white and placed wedding photos of both sets of parents on. It was a lovely personal touch and a great place for cards and presents to go. We had canapés as a starter followed by a barbecue buffet for main course. For dessert, we ate our homemade cakes. In the evening, we served pulled pork buns and guests could choose their own topping. We had a DJ inside the marquee in the evening, which really got the party started. Make your day personal to the both of you in every detail. On the day, just go with the flow, don’t worry about anything and enjoy every moment because it’s over so fast. Also, get someone to record the speeches as I regret that I didn’t. 48
