Your Kent Wedding - Nov/Dec 2019 (Issue 87)
REAL WEDDINGS 41 dress since we were having a winter wedding, but being 5’1”, we quickly realised that neither long sleeves nor lace were for me,” Jade says. She accessorised with a church veil; something old, her nan’s ring; something borrowed, her auntie’s bracelet; and something new, Jimmy Choo shoes. The groom and groomsmen all wore the same navy tail suits with double-breasted grey waistcoats and deep red ties. The bridesmaids were also dressed in navy, wearing dresses with beading, long sleeves and tulle skirts. TIME TO CELEBRATE Singer Charlotte Atkins and her guitarist entertained guests as they arrived at the venue and throughout the wedding breakfast. Later on, band Tundra got everyone on their feet. Jade recalls: “They were incredible. The dancefloor was insane!” MEMORABLE MOMENTS “The ceremony was the highlight of the day for me,” Jade says. “I thought I’d be nervous, but following my little nieces down the aisle towards Ollie was something I’ll never forget. I also remember being blown away when our wedding coordinator, Sam, took me in to see the dining area before they opened the doors. Hayne House, Touchays and The Flower Shop Hythe had all exceeded my expectations.” The bride also speaks very highly of their photographer: “We were both very awkward in front of the camera, but Sarah couldn’t have made us feel any more relaxed. She got lots of lovely photos of our guests and captured our day perfectly alongside videographer Karl, even through the wind and rain.”
