FAIRGROUND ATTRACTION Fran and Alex exchanged vows at St Thomas Catholic Church, Canterbury, before enjoying vintage-style celebrations at Marleybrook House Images courtesy of Emma Migden Photography F rancesca and Alexander were instantly attracted to each other when they met at a bar in Whitstable. “It really was a love at first sight moment,” says Fran. When they got talking, they discovered they had much in common, such as living on the same road as children. It was the end of June 2014, and Fran had recently moved in with Alex and his parents. The groom-to-be had dismantled the table from the conservatory and set it up in the couple’s bedroom before cooking a romantic three-course meal. The scene was set. Fran says, “Out of the blue, he proposed! It was a massive surprise. It couldn’t have been more perfect.” The date was set for 26 th May, 2018.
