Your Kent Wedding - Jul/Aug 2019 (Issue 85)
The first time I became tearful on the day was when my flowers arrived! They were just beautiful. For me, the favourite element of our venue decoration was our centrepieces. A combination of various flowers, including burgundy and blush roses, dahlias and eucalyptus, set in large rose gold lanterns. They were placed on to rustic wooden slices and surrounded by tea lights. I made the table plan, which was simply displayed in a flower-covered frame and rested on a matching gold easel. The best man and groomsmen performed an original song influenced by David Brent’s Free Love Freeway . It was an amazing surprise, and to top it off a friend recorded it and sent it to Ricky Gervais via Twitter. He liked it, and it now has more than 33,000 views! We also had a huge halo of eucalyptus and small candles hanging from the centre of the marquee. We had an amazing flower wall set up next to the orchard. It was a great backdrop for photos and because we were so lucky with the weather, it got used a lot. We also had a balloon arch at the marquee entrance. It was a great way to jazz up the doorway!
