Your Kent Wedding - May/Jun 2019 (Issue 84)
The table plan was a piste map, with the guests listed on the slopes. We named our tables after the ski resorts we’d both been to. I designed the place names as ski passes, with individual guest photos printed on each one. I spent hours scouring social media accounts for the pics, but it was so worth it! Tom spent the weekends leading up to the day making the wooden signs to place around the garden, while I painted them all. The rest of the marquee was decorated with paper pompoms and fairylights. We were very lucky to have an abundance of beautiful vintage cars in both our families that we could choose from. My dress was a classic ivory strapless A-line by Christina Castelino. It was an ex-runway gown from Bridal Reloved. The best bit was the beautiful silk organza skirt that swished when I walked – it felt magical. I paired it with a bespoke lace bolero to complement the detail in the dress. The groomsmen all wore royal blue three- piece suits with salmon bow ties, tan brogues and a peach rose in their lapels. Tom wore a contrasting ivory waistcoat. Our bridesmaids wore pastel salmon multi-way dresses. It was lovely to have a choice of different ways to wear them. REAL WEDDINGS 65
