Your Kent Wedding - May/Jun 2019 (Issue 84)
I had a dried flower bouquet featuring a mixture of gypsophila and pale pink roses with a matching hair crown. They blended perfectly with the hue of my dress, with the added bonus that they could be delivered well in advance of the wedding and were already perfectly preserved for the future. We filled jam jars wrapped with blue craft paper and garden twine with an informal rustic mixture of gypsophila, statice and wheat ears. A votive candle was placed next to each one. Lucy’s nephews decorated a large piece of card to use for the table plan. They chose a cheery rainbow colour scheme and featured us riding a triceratops! The Bowl was ideal for our wedding vision, as it has a field surrounded by lovely countryside and offers plenty of support with catering, suppliers and accommodation. It’s a really lovely country pub with great food in a typically Kentish location. Our main aim was to make sure we had a party atmosphere, where all of our guests would have loads of fun. We didn’t want things to be too formal, so something based around a barbecue was our starting point. The most important thing was to make sure the day was a joyous celebration. 58
