They chatted a little but went their separate ways. By chance, a couple of weeks later, they bumped into each other again at the same bar. This time, dancing was added to the chatting, and they swapped numbers. On their official first date a few days later, they found plenty of common interests and happily spent the evening laughing together. Dan proposed during a weekend away in Cambridge. It was completely unexpected for Lucy – and almost to Dan, who had only taken the decision to go out and get a ring that morning! The pair had been together for four-and-a-half years, so once the question had been popped, there was no hanging about! Roll on six months, and the big day had arrived.
