Your Kent Wedding - May/Jun 2019 (Issue 84)
The floral arrangements included ivory and dusky pink roses. We also dotted around glass jars wrapped in lace that we’d filled with gypsophila. The four-tier cake was iced in theme-fitting ivory and dusky pink, with ruffles at the bottom, a cluster of flowers in the centre and a Mrs and Mrs on the top. Our place names were written in dusky pink and decorated with birdcages. The table names featured countries and places we’ve visited together. We’d hand-made a lot of our decorative touches to make the styling more personal. We created our own sweet table, tea light holders and a timeline using polaroids of our memories and milestones. We also sanded and painted a rustic wooden ladder and decorated it with garlands, candles and the letters L.O.V.E. We hired a chocolate fountain and photo booth for the evening. Guests enjoyed watching us play Mrs and Mrs on the dancefloor with a hairdryer and a power tool! Our bridesmaids chose the questions. REAL WEDDINGS 53
