HOT TOPIC: WEDDING WORRIES Our experts solve your problems CAMERA READY We’re feeling anxious about photos on our wedding day but also want a lovely album to look back on. Can you offer us some advice? If any of my couples state that they are a little awkward in front of the camera, I always recommend a pre-wedding shoot. As a photographer, it’s good to get to know your couple and how comfortable they are with posing. However shy the couple is, I always get the image I am looking for and knowing that the couple feels relaxed and at ease will help create a good image. One of the most important things is that the couple feel comfortable with the photographer and create a rapport before the big day. This will benefit everyone and the end result will be a wonderful wedding day experience with the most amazing memories and a beautiful wedding album. David King www.davidkingphotographer.co.uk www.davidkingphotographer.co.uk WHATEVER THE WEATHER How can we capture amazing outdoor pictures at our February wedding if the weather turns bad? Easy – umbrellas, wraps and laughter! Your day will go by in a flash and being outside momentarily for pictures will be just a short window of the day. Your photographer can ensure that others from the celebrations are there to hold umbrellas. They can also make sure that the bride has a little wrap over her shoulders that can be whipped off quickly for photos and wrapped up again after. You’d be surprised at how laughter can make the best of any situation. Regardless of the venue, there will always be a backup plan available if the weather turns. Let’s face it: in the UK we don’t get much notice if it changes; it’s all or nothing! Kayleigh Rice www.kayrphotos.com www.kayrphotos.com EXPERT ADVICE 73
