Your Kent Wedding - September/October 2024 (Issue 116)

FLOWERS 53 ONCE AND FLORAL The latest flower trends We love flowers here at Your Kent Wedding, but with so many gorgeous blooms to choose from, it can be a bit overwhelming. There are lots of ways to incorporate flowers into your dé cor, such as bouquets, buttonholes, flower walls, table runners and pew ends, to name but a few. To help inspire you, we’ve asked local suppliers to share their trend predictions for 2025. “For autumn and into winter, oranges, yellows, and purples are in high demand as couples create themes centred around the seasons. Popular flowers for these seasons include sunflowers, yellow roses, natural wheat, and lavender.” – Sasha from Essentially Hops. “Huge baskets filled with flowers and trees for the ceremony and reception and smaller baskets for the tables are popular. Bridesmaids’ baskets are making a comeback too. Loose and wild designs look great in baskets and are so pretty for a summer wedding.” – Louise from Louise Roots Wedding & Event Florist. “Throughout spring and summer, pinks, blues and creams are popular, especially larkspur, whose petals also make beautiful biodegradable confetti.” – Sasha from Essentially Hops. www.emmacollyer.com and www.louiseroots.com “Soft colour palettes of white, ivory, blush and nude are being paired with peonies, garden roses, sweet peas and Jasmine. This pretty colour theme continues to be a favourite and works with most themes.” – Louise from Louise Roots Wedding & Event Florist. “Meadow aisle flowers are probably our most requested design right now. These are perfect for creating a beautiful ceremony aisle, but they can easily be repurposed for the reception. They are great for placing at the front of the top table, below seating plans and at doorways and marquee entrances.” – Louise from Louise Roots Wedding & Event Florist. www.essentiallyhops.co.uk www.mariewoottonphotography.co.uk and www.lilac-and-lace.co.uk www.nickisflorist.co.uk www.jameseldridgephotography.com and www.louiseroots.com “Soft, pastel colours with natural hessian ribbon and high-impact, bold, exoctic, asymmetrical designs are popular.” – The team at Nicki’s Florist. www.nickisflorist.co.uk
