LOOKING THE PART Amy had always known that when she tied the knot, she wanted a ballgown-style dress. “I would always walk past this shop and be like ‘I want that one!’. So, when the day came, I knew where to go, and that was Perfection in Maidstone. The dress I picked was Sincerity by Justin Alexander.” Dan looked dapper in a tan, tweed, three-piece suit from Marc Darcy which had darker patches on both elbows, as well the collar, which were a suede material. “The suit really complemented the venue, and he looked so handsome,” shares Amy. “Our son was in a matching suit from Marc Darcy too!” The groomsmen were in contrasting navy blazers with light beige chinos and a tweed tie; while the bridesmaids wore dusky pink, Grecian-style, off-the-shoulder dresses, with a pearl brooch on their shoulder and a pearl headpiece to match. MEMORABLE MOMENTS On the day both Amy and Dan were nervous but so excited to be marrying one another as well. “There were so many parts of our day that stood out. It’s so hard to name them all, of course, looking at Dan and our two children all looking gorgeous as ever,” shares Amy. “Walking down the aisle to see one another was an amazing feeling. That’s all we could see, just each other knowing we are going to spend the rest of our lives together.” “Amy looked stunning in her dress it took my breath away and yes I did have a cry,” recalls Dan. “Seeing everyone at our special day and being so happy makes us happy.” The first dance was a moment to remember for the pair, their chosen song was by George Ezra Hold My Girl, “It’s our little girl’s song so it holds a special place in our hearts, we had our moment to dance as newlyweds but also to dance as a family as well – it was a very emotional moment. “247 DJs were amazing at getting our guests up and dancing about. They were also great at listening to what we wanted for our big day. “We both thought ‘what an amazing day we both had’ and loved every minute and wish we could do it all over again. We were so very lucky that Nicky’s Photography captured all our special moments so we can look back and remember the most special day of our lives. “Having our nearest and dearest being there made our day. We couldn’t have done it without them. Having my nan being able to watch me on our big day meant the world to me, knowing that my mum, who sadly passed away, was not there. The best man’s speech had everybody in giggles and tears − he couldn’t have written a better speech!” REAL WEDDINGS 41
