MEET FRANCES DONE I’ve been working in the fashion industry for the past 17 years as a make-up artist, travelling internationally for jobs and fashion weeks. I started my bridal business after moving back to Kent, tailored for the fashion conscious, modern day bride. FRANCES’ SIGNATURE LOOK My signature look is lit-from-within skin, I don’t have a heavy hand when it comes to make-up application, I use lots of products but no drag techniques. The face really is my canvas and I apply make-up with the mantra of it being a veil or your best camera filter, not a mask. There’s going to be a lot of eyes on you and feeling beautiful also comes from within. It’s so important to feel confident on your big day. This is why I try to find out as much information as I can about my brides to gage what type of girl they are before we design a look together. 2024 TRENDS We’ve seen a lot of 80s vibes come back for next season making their mark on bridal trends. A pop of colour on the lips using lip stains will be big, as will vibrant flushed cheeks – maybe try a colour on the eye if you’re really brave. Personally I’m still loving the glazed doughnut trend: dewy fresh with the most gorgeous skin. So, I won’t be doing matte complexions for my brides any time soon! They’re quite ageing unless you have the perfect baby skin. MEET LARA JAMES I’ve been working as a make-up artist for the past 10 years with a particular interest in and passion for bridal make-up.
