Don’t worry though as many will be prepared to help you with this. Florence, for example says, “I send my couples a questionnaire with all the important information needed to get the best out of your day, a group shot list is included in that.” While David tells us, “I personally supply my couples with a group list guide, which helps them on the way to deciding the family groups they want to have. I also give them a guide on how long the list will take, which usually focuses them on the important people to include. Don’t go silly with it as you’ve commissioned your photographer for their creative style, so leave the business of capturing your day to them.” You could save even more time for partying by keeping guests organised for their group shots. Cassandra says, “Let the relevant people know that they’ll be needed so that they don’t run off to the bar. Call the kids first, so that they can run off and play.” Equally, you don’t want your photographer to miss the little details that are important to you, so make sure they’re well informed. “For example, you might be wearing your grandmother’s pearl necklace as your something old,” says Cassandra.
