edit works well and Instagram filters can always be added in with the edits to give you options.” David explains, “There are photographers who have a specific style and you need to find out which will suit you and your personalities. Some photographers like the stylised wow-factor images, which look amazing but take a little time to create. Some prefer the editorial style and just go with the flow, capturing images of the day as it happens. Some will often do a combination of both so really, it’s what you’re comfortable with and would be happy to see when you receive your wedding photographs.” Speaking of her own vibe, Florence says, “I like to consider myself a little bit of everything. Because every couple is different their days will be too, so I adapt to each wedding day. I document all the raw moments while setting up detail shots, and I’ll capture portraits with a little guidance while catching the nervous giggles too. Your day is set out your way and my job is to capture everything as you’ve planned and stepping in to ensure you don’t miss those amazing sunsets or photo opportunities!” “Photographers often have their own unique style that’s taken years to perfect. Make sure the work of the ‘tog you choose has a look you like, and would like to hang on your wall.” – Cassandra Wright, www.cassandrawrightphoto.co.uk JUST THE TWO OF US “Engagement shoots are always a good way of getting to know your photographer and for us to get to know you and how comfortable you are posing etc.” David says. “It certainly is better to sort the poses before the big day to cut down on any awkwardness.” Cassandra is a great advocate for engagement shoots: “They’re really important! I know it may seem like a drain, but it helps for you to understand how to be relaxed in front of the camera. The photographs are also great for you to have for your invite, save-the-dates, and even as a slideshow playing at your wedding.” Florence says, “These are known as pre shoots in my package, and are included when you book me as your wedding photographer. These are so handy for you to have a little practise and hopefully ease your nerves around any photo anxiety. It also gives your photographer an insight into you guys as a couple and how you photograph.” www.cassandrawrightphoto.co.uk https://florenceberry.com https://nphotography.co.uk www.cassandrawrightphoto.co.uk 64
