All the bridesmaids’ dresses and the flowergirl’s dress were from Maya Deluxe. They were a mixture of taupe, dusky blue and sage green. My maid-of-honour wore the halter-neck version, while the rest were dressed in the V-neck, short-sleeve ones. The groomsmen wore the same neutral-coloured suits with mix and match paisley ties and pocket squares in pink, blue and green to complement the bridesmaids. I found my dress on Instagram and contacted the boutique to make an appointment straight away. As this was during the pandemic I went on my own and it was the first and only dress I tried on. It was perfect. Charlie wore a neutral French Connection three-piece suit, lined with rose gold satin and embroidered with our wedding date. He designed his outfit and Moss Bros in Chatham Dockside made it. He accessorised with an ivory paisley tie and pocket square. Charlie surprised me on the morning of the wedding with a wife-to-be box. He put Mexican-related things in there, and when I opened the card it said that we’re booked to go to Cancun in January. I accessorised with a tiara I’d bought for my mum as a child with my pocket money when she got married. It was my something old and borrowed. 42
