Your Kent Wedding - July/August 2022 (Issue 103)

FUN AND INFORMAL The couple chose personalised blue and white M&Ms, to fit the palette and informal theme – “Not to mention my love of chocolate!” says Becky. A giant helium balloon filled with white feathers sat on each table, along with prosecco bottles filled with fairylights and some shimmer to add to the toast drinks for a bit of sparkle and fun. The bride wrote out all of the place names to suit the blue, gold and glitter theme. Nick’s sister was a florist and created all of the floral arrangements including the bouquets and buttonholes. “We opted for a white, pale pink and green theme, which looked stunning,” Becky says. “As the venue was so pretty we didn’t need much extra décor. We had some large lanterns with candles out on the terrace and some more balloons containing feathers and rose gold confetti,” she continues. The wedding breakfast was a barbecue, which was the perfect fit for Becky and Nick’s informal, fun theme. “We didn’t want a sit-down meal. Plus, barbecues are one of our favourite things,” Becky tells us. SPARKLE AND SHINE The beautiful bride wore Arial by Ellis Bridals. Becky remembers, “I loved the sparkly, figureflattering style as it made me feel so special. I accessorised with a veil adorned in tiny pearls as it was something my mum particularly wanted to see me in. When I tried it on with the dress it made her cry, so I knew it was perfect.” Her shoes were glitter trainers from Kate Spade – “I love all things sparkly and don’t ever wear high heels, so I wasn’t about to start on my wedding day!” Becky explains. She completed the look with a necklace – a wedding-morning gift from Nick; and a bangle, which is one of a matching pair she has with her mum, made REAL WEDDINGS 39
