Situated directly above three welcoming reception rooms, the three-room bridal suite is in the same elegant Georgian style. In contrast, the three-storey selfcontained guest accommodation can be found in the 15th-century section of the house. The Mansion sits in the centre of formal gardens, which are in turn surrounded by the 100-acre National Trust Estate. The beautiful Victorian walled rose garden offers an idyllic backdrop for those all-important photos and beyond the gates to the house are ponds, fields and estate parkland – a wedding photographer’s dream. THE “I DOS” Ceremonies for up to 60 guests can take place either in the ornate Yellow Room or on the main lawn right in front of the Yellow Room French doors, which open out onto the garden. Outdoor ceremonies on the formal lawns can accommodate up to 120 seated guests. THE CELEBRATIONS Drinks receptions can take place in the Georgian reception rooms of the main house and in the formal gardens or marquee. The wedding breakfast for 120 guests, and evening entertainment, both take place in the luxury canvas-pole marquee, which is situated on the rear lawn surrounded by scenic orchards and meadows. Intimate wedding breakfasts and celebrations for up to 30 loved ones can take place inside the Mansion. PLUS... The wedding party of up to 10 guests are accommodated on site overnight and you can opt to stay for up to three nights. During your stay dinners, barbecues, drinks parties and more can be arranged, as well as brunch in the marquee the following morning. THE CELEBRATIONS The Lowry room has a traditional feel with a vaulted ceiling, minstrel’s gallery and large feature window suitable for wedding breakfasts for up to 80 loved ones and evening receptions for up to 120. The OBS Gallery is an art gallery with a modern feel. The original leaded windows lend the space a light and airy feel for the wedding breakfast with 120 guests or an evening bash for 150. Big School is a wood-panelled school hall with a stage and stainedglass windows. It’s suitable for seated buffet menus with up to 150 guests or evening dos for up to 300. Finally, The Orchard Centre is a fully air-conditioned modern dining room overlooking the central school grounds, and is available for seated dining for 150 guests or evening revelries for 300.
