Our aim was to creatte an intimate wedding that reflected the season. The team at Woodlands Lodge Hotel were lovely, accommodating and supportive – they made the planning process less stressful. We wanted to remain close to home as that means we can return to the venue to enjoy it more informally, reminisce and share our memories of the day. The venue’s gardens are particularly lovely in the summer – we were lucky to enjoy some wonderful sunshine. Wooden frame boxes filled with local fallen flora made up our stunning centrepieces. Guests received sweets, miniature bottles of alcohol and wildflower seeds for favours. 42
