displayed a beautiful grazing table packed with meats, cheeses and other delicious snacks. LOOKING THE PART With a fondness for Disney, Sophie picked a gown with Cinderella vibes and added tulle sleeves for the perfect finishing touch. She wore a cathedral-length veil embroidered with Roman numerals by Tessa’s Tiaras. The pair’s original wedding date, the legal ceremony date and the long-awaited big day was added at the bottom of the veil. Steve wore a Ted Baker navy suit with a swordfishes lining. He stood out from the groomsmen, who wore dark navy suits, by wearing an ivory tie and a large buttonhole. The bridesmaids looked beautiful in pale pink dresses that matched the colour scheme perfectly. TIME TO CELEBRATE To keep guests entertained, the couple hired Big Brass SKA. Sophie says, “Everyone was up on their feet dancing the night away to hits by Madness, The Specials, Bad Manners and so much more. The venue’s team said it was the most packed dancefloor they’d ever had.” A big hit with loved ones was the photo booth provided by Pikabooth, which came with high-quality props and provided great fun for all ages. The adult bouncy castle created many photographic opportunities and allowed guests to let their hair down and have extra fun. MEMORABLE MOMENTS The pair couldn’t have been more grateful to finally celebrate with loved ones after postponing their day. The bride says, “With Covid-19 restrictions, it felt like we were never going to get the big day we deserved. We both felt a huge sense of relief that the day finally came, we appreciated every moment even more after waiting so long.” With help from Olivia Coleman Celebrant, the couple created a tailor-made ceremony full of personal touches. They’ll always treasure the moment they shared their vows, which were full of meaningful and heart-warming words. A reading from Winnie-the-Pooh was read by a loved one and had the bride in tears – it was such a special moment. The best man’s speech was 20 minutes long and was hysterical; some said it was the best speech they’d ever heard. Another funny moment was when Steve brought a bib for the wedding breakfast because he knew Sophie would spill food down herself! HONEYMOON The lovebirds went to Cancún in Mexico for 14 nights, which was pure bliss! Sophie says, “We did some amazing excursions such as Xcaret Park and visited one of the new seven wonders of the world – Chichen Itza. We relaxed by the pool, drank cocktails and enjoyed plenty of food as our resort had several speciality restaurants. 30
