Picture the scene; a romantic ceremony on the cobbled streets in front of a Victorian Railway Station before adjourning for a quaint afternoon tea reception on the village green. Milestones Museum in Basingstoke provides a treasure trove of amazing backdrops for couples looking for something different to the norm. Shoot coordinator Laura Denny of Hampshire-based Spiral Events got together a team of talented local suppliers to showcase just some of the living museum’s original and quirky settings including a traditional pub and olde-worlde sweet shop. To complement the unique venue, they opted for a soft colour palette full of subtle pink and lilac tones. Mismatched china teacups lined the tables, along with teapots, cakes and macarons galore. “Our aim was to complement the venue and showcase it in all its glory, making the most of the setting inspired by a bygone era,” adds Laura. 48
