A friend made our fruitcakes which were decorated with white icing, coloured ribbon and pink sugarpaste roses. Our guests brought an assortment of wild and garden flowers in glass containers for the centrepieces. “The table plan had an ornithological theme and the tables were named after different birds.” 46
